About us
The South African Muslim Travel Operators Association (SAMTOA) was formed because of the need to self–
regulate the Travel industry in in the best possible manner. The organization endeavors to maintain the highest standards in the Travel Industry, and its members in particular will be guided to uphold the principles as defined in the Holy Quran and as exemplified by our noble leader, Nabi Mohammad – (May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon Him).
Samtoa Aims and Objectives
To self-regulate the travel industry in a just and fair manner for the benefit of all stakeholders
To ensure compliance to laws, rules, and regulations of all relevant authorities
To regulate its members so that they display and conduct themselves with integrity and efficiency when dealing with travelers.
To provide a forum for members to meet to consider matters of mutual interest.
To be autonomous and free from any alliance and/or allegiance to any party or ideology.
To establish a National Executive Committee consisting of officials per article 9.3 of this constitution to be elected at the annual general meeting, and to establish Provincial Offices, if required, with a structure to be decided by a general meeting.
To ensure that all services provided by members are fully geared towards the comfort, convenience, and safety of travelers in the best manner possible
Ensure sound governance in line with local and international governance standards
To create an environment in South Africa where members can provide fair and reasonable service to travelers throughout their holy journey.
To publicize the membership of SAMTOA and to include their various services on offer to the public.
To be committed to function on the foundations of the Quran and Sunnah.
Correspond and co-operate with other international organizations to the mutual benefit of the South African travelers
